Arizona Is 15th State To Legalize Medical Marijuana

By a narrow margin, Arizona voters have made Arizona the 15th state to have approved medical marijuana law.  California was the first in 1996 with 13 other states and the District of Columbia followed.  Arizona’s Proposition 203 won by only 4.341 votes out of the 1.67 million ballots counted.Arizona’s guidelines as to who can grow and use marijuana for medicinal purposes is similar to that of Michigan law.  However, Arizona’s Prop. 203 allows for up to 124 dispensaries to exist within the state.  Michigan law does not speak directly to legality of dispensaries.
